About Axon Components

Axon Components Ltd. designs and manufactures custom and standard switch panels, circuit breaker panels, AC/DC control systems, power management solutions and remote battery switches for the marine and automotive industries. Axon is also a distributor for Carling Technologies, Continental Automotive (VDO instruments) and Chint.

The company started life in 1978 as Kenneth Axon (Humberside) Ltd., specialising in switchgear and electrics for passenger coaches. In the early 1980s we began to work with a number of boat builders in the UK’s burgeoning marine market, designing and supplying custom switch and circuit breaker panels.

Axon grew steadily throughout the 1980s, and was soon setting the standard for custom electrical control within the marine industry. In 1992, the company changed its name to Axon Components Ltd., continuing to provide bespoke circuit breaker, AC/DC and instrument panels to many leading boat builders. By the mid-1990s, we had relocated to North Yorkshire and, in response to the rise in popularity of burr wood veneers and other luxury panel finishes, opened a second factory and spray shop dedicated to fascia production.

Firmly established as one of the industry’s leading designers and manufacturers of electrical control systems, we’ve continued to grow and to diversify, developing innovative new products and technologies. In addition to the core business of custom control systems and fascias, Axon now offers the
Professional Range of standard switch and circuit breaker panels, Axon Touch Control and the AX-5 Series of remote battery switches, as well as new power management solutions for the specialist vehicle industry.
