Within the commercial and leisure automotive sector and the boatbuilding market, changeover contactors are now widely used, being integrated into AC control systems to provide ease of switching between different power sources, eg. generator and shoreline. Using the appropriate contactor, this can provide automatic AC switchover, and also offers remote switching of all AC power options.
